State of the League: 8/28

Whats up everyone?!

Today was the first day for team signups and we snagged a total of 15 members. We are all new faces to each other but it was good talking with some of you in chat. We still have a decent amount of teams left, so if you know of anyone who is interested in joining don't hesitate to steer them our way.

Our original plan was to get the league setup tonight after we tested out the sliders and found something to build off. The good news is we did find a wicked setting that was nearly flawless. Bad news is were going to have to push the creation of the league back until there is a new roster update out from EA. Some players are missing from rosters and a few trades (felix jones) have not been updated.

Right now what I can do is give you a basic time table we are looking at.

- Next EA roster update, league creation
- Preseason Week 1, begins that day and ends the following
- Free Agent Fantasy draft will begin Week 2 of the Preseason (more to come on this later)
- Preseason Weeks 2-4 will take 1 1/2 days (simming right through it, unless you guys want otherwise)
- Regular season then begins and we will get on a normal advance schedule (9pm est on sun, wed, fri)

Once the league is created, I will send everyone a PSN message with league info, a private message on our forums and create a topic. You wont be able to miss the day if you are active.

Until then I encourage you guys to make use of our website. If you guys have any ideas at all, any feedback on anything please let myself or nike know. We are not afraid to make any changes and as you guys will find out we are very easy to get along with. Dont be afraid to stop in our chat and try to setup a few public matches against myself or other members.

I was not thinking last night when I posted but I just added a poll to the topic.

Would you rather we start sooner with default shipping rosters or wait a few days for the next roster update?

As much as I really want to start the league as a newcomer and if I came to this league and seen someone on my roster who isn't there that would bother me, so I personally vote we wait.

Right now were looking at starting with the next roster update from EA. That at the latest should be Monday.

Unless you guys vote differently on the poll but so far the majority seem to be in the favor of waiting. I know on my team alone I'm missing players who are on our roster in real life that are no where to be found in the actual game.

Understandable I work on the weekends so its hard for me to draft I just am curious to when it happens ya know

Soon as I get the slightest clue when they update the roster you guys will know seconds later haha, I'm just as excited to get it going

I know I read somewhere Sunday or Monday, where I have no clue.

Hopefully sometime after friday, cause i'm picking up my copy of M25 friday :p

And if it takes longer than that it'll means you guys, private matches, ole wolfy here needs some practice lol

We'll definitely have to get it going for old times sake.

Tonight im thinking of looking at the custom rosters the people upload and seeing if any of them would work to import. I just would like to have all the proper transactions at the very least.

About the draft, i know that the firs timported NCAA draft has 18 good to great QBs..The other positions are fairly normal but a amazing 18 QBs that could make a team. The other thing was a decent amount of 80's ovr but a large amount of player in their 70's. And most of the CBs are slow, lol (84-85 spd)
